About Watson Excavating
The company was founded by my father, Foster Watson in 1971. He started with a small bulldozer to perform work on his farm and neighborhood jobs. My father’s commitment to honest and high quality of work resulted in the business steadily growth.
In 1980, I returned to the business working for my father. In 1984, my father retired from the business. I purchased the business and in 1994 became incorporated as Watson Excavating Inc., as Lynn Watson, President and Susanne Watson, secretary. I continued to stress to my employees to perform high quality and detailed workmanship to our customers. This foundation has lead our company to develop many positive experiences with our clients.
Today our company is constantly growing and diversifying our scope of work. In 2009, my son Eric, returned from college where he received a degree in Civil Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. With his return we have branched out more into the commercial site work, while still focusing on out residential work as well. This has allowed us to steadily grow the business, employing on average 10 people.
With the growth in business and the expansion into the commercial site work area, we saw the need to invest in new technology. In the spring in 2017, we purchased GPS machine control equipment for our machines. This with our well maintained and up-to-date fleet of equipment allows us to complete our jobs efficiently and on time.
Testimonials from our happy clients:
Just wanted to say thanks for everything and commend you and your crew on the job, everyone did from start to finish. We both feel you all did a great job and we will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone. Please relay our thanks and appreciation to all of your crew that worked here and once again thanks.
Your response to our request this past week was admirable. We greatly appreciate your time and effort to help us out.
We would not hesitate to recommend your firm to friends and others. You have an outfit to be very proud about. Your dedication is rare.
A simple thank you seems so insufficient to express our great gratitude to you for your help in making our soccer fields become a reality. The fields are fantastic! We've had many positive comments. Thank you for unselfishly giving of your time and effort to make a great program even better in serving the children of our area. Thanks so much!
We just wanted to say thank you for your patience and understanding in our unusual project. You did a great job and we’re sure that the billing does not reflect the extra amount of work you did to complete the project. Thanks again.
Thanks for everything! It’s been a pleasure. We have told many people to call you and will continue to send folks your way.
You were worth a million bucks to us that day, but of course we don’t have a million, so I hope you’ll accept the little extra we can give you for all your effort and the great job you did for us.
Just wanted to take a moment to write a quick note to thank you and your crew for such a great job on our home while it was being built, the installation of our septic system as well as your fine job on the grading of our topsoil on the final grade.
Your workmanship and professionalism are to be applauded, and you should take great pride in having employees who take such great pride in their work. You are also to be commended for taking the “extra step” in working with your customers.
Once again, thank you very much- we have and will continue to recommend you to our friends.
